A Three days workshop on Soft Skills was organized for 5th sem E&C and TCE students from 19.09.2008 to 21.09.2008. About 110 students participated in this workshop. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Career Excel, Belgaum.
A Technical tour was arranged for 7th semester Telecommunication Engg students on 29-09-2006. During the visit, students visited (i) ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC) Bangalore. At ISAC, Dr Subramanyam, HRD, delivered a technical talk to students on the recent development, History, applications, parts, types and comparison of Indian satellites and (ii) IETE Center Bangalore. Here, Mr Prasad, Scientist, LRDE, Bangalore delivered a technical talk on “ Radar systems and signal Processing”.
A three days workshop on “ Soft skills “ was conducted by M/s CAREER EXCEL, Belgaum on 8th to 10th October 2006 for 5th semester EC / TC students in which about 100 students participated. This Programme helped about 40 students of EC and TC students to get jobs through placements till now.
A technical talk on “What are Embedded Systems?” by Prof. S. Ramagopal, Principal Research Scientist, Dept of Instrumentation, I.I.Sc, Bangalore was arranged on 28-10-2006 for students and faculty.
A technical talk on “Mars Exploration” by Mr Gajanan Engineer, NASA USA, was arranged on 09-02-2007 for students and faculty.
A technical talk on “Advances in computer network” by Mr Srivatsa M, Project leader, Intel Technologies, Bangalore was arranged on 17-03-207 for students and faculty.
A Technical tour was arranged for 8th semester Electronics and Communication Engg students on 13-4-2007. During the visit, students visited ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC) Bangalore and ISTRRAC Bangalore.
Inter-departmental technical events like Technical quiz, Aptitude test and Technical paper competitions were also arranged during the current semester.
